I've been reading and thinking a lot about the current food crisis that is impacting all of the world, those of of us living in the west might not really be aware of the issue unless we have actually been following the news. The price of food has gone up drastically over the last year, major exporting countries are failing to produce enough food to export, the rise in oil price has made the transport of food more expensive, and the use of maize for the production of biofuel has impacted the price of grains around the world.
